Organize your folders
- Move bookmarks to another folder: right-click and choose Move to Folder…, use the Folders menu in the toolbar, or drag them onto a folder in the Chrome or Safari layout.
- Make, rename, and move folders. Right-click a folder to add a subfolder, rename it, move it, or delete it.
- Manage and Delete Folders… lists every folder with a checkbox, so you can delete many at once. Deleting a folder removes everything inside it, and the app asks first.
- Empty folders you make are kept, and are included when you export.
- Right-click a bookmark and choose Rename… to change its title.
- All of it can be undone with ⌘Z. Your browsers are never changed.
Imports and exports that match your browser
- Exports and the folder views now keep folders and links in the order the browser had them. Before, the links in a folder were written ahead of its subfolders, so a row of folders named with a leading “.” ended up below the loose links after you imported the file.
- Match to Master now adopts bookmarks in place. Each one goes into the same folder it had in the other browser (the Bookmarks Bar and Favorites count as the same place), instead of a “New from” folder. Duplicates still tells adopted bookmarks from the ones you already had, and libraries saved by 1.0.0 open as before.
Cleanup
- New Same Title in Folder list. Safari keeps only one bookmark per title in a folder when it imports, so the others disappear and then show up as missing. The list shows those folders so you can rename one of the bookmarks.
Safari’s Reading List
- Match to Master has a Skip Safari’s Reading List switch, on by default. Safari’s own Reading List is not a folder of bookmarks, and clearing your bookmarks does not clear it, so its pages no longer show up as new.
- The Help window now explains that an HTML export carries your Reading List as an ordinary bookmarks folder. Importing it never adds to Safari’s real Reading List, and the app never changes Safari.
Fixes
- In Settings, the file chosen to open at launch now updates as soon as you pick another one.
- The Duplicates controls stay at the top of the list when there are no duplicates.
